Hot Accessories in the Cool Winter
There is no question about it: this winter has been unforgiving with its ice-cold breeze, traffic-stopping snow, hair-ruining rain and windshield-breaking hail. But with all this unlike-California weather, many students are concerned about how to stay warm but still stylish until spring comes around. Luckily, many winter accessories make it easy to stay warm but still fabulous without missing a beat on a well-deserved compliment.
The first must-have accessory for this winter is none other than the umbrella. In order to stay dry this winter, a shield is much needed. Many cute umbrellas can be found just about anywhere for a reasonable price. Forever 21 has many fashionable umbrellas that are decorated with cute prints, electric colors, and trimmed with ruffles insuring that those expensive school books will be safely secure from the rain.
Another necessary need is a lovely winter hat. Lets face it, hair does not cooperate with rain, snow, hail or any other kind of winter-related weather word. But a very stylish hat will not only hide that frizzy hair, but it will also add a little pizzazz to your outfit. Winter hats come in all different shapes and styles. The fedora hat has proved to be a popular commodity this season. Target is a great store to find fedoras in different colors and patterns. Another popular style hat is the Chanel-inspired hat, which looks like a hat straight from the 50’s. These hats can be found at Charlotte Russe where they come in either black or cream and are both accented with a bow.
Scarves are the most flexible winter accessories that can be tied anyway and accompanied with almost any coat or jacket. Scarves can be found anywhere from every store in the mall to any department store down the street. The scarf will keep that neck and chest warm and sweet without that sip of hot chocolate. At Target, there are matching scarves and fedoras that synchronize an outfit for under $30.
Finally, knee high socks are the best-hidden secret under those pants. If the feet and legs are cold, the whole body seems to be cold, so it is important to make sure feet are covered from the tip of the toe to the top of the knee. Knee-high socks can be found at Wal-Mart where they are sold in funky stripes that will keep those toes dancing with attention.
Stay bundled this season the smart way by adding a simple accessory to ensure that your inner style isn’t cramped during this cool winter.
